I thought this would be easy to write, but I struggle to properly communicate just how much I appreciate you as a best friend and as a person. I have known you guys for basically my entire life. I feel like we have been friends forever, yet it feels like just yesterday we met and became inseparable. Our friendship has withstood the test of time along with many other trials. However, that's why I cherish our friendship so much. I have had friendships where I feel like I am constantly on the chopping block or like I have only three strikes and I'm out, but you never make me feel like I am so disposable.
You're fun to be around, but you also challenge me. You challenge my beliefs. You challenge my patience. You challenge me to be the best version of me that I can be, and for that, I will always be grateful to you. I am a stronger person and I can articulate my beliefs better because of you, even if our beliefs don't line up completely. I can talk to you about literally anything, no matter how deep, embarrassing or disturbing. I know that I don't have to worry about being judged when I tell you something about myself. In fact, your understanding makes me feel even closer to you.
I wish that everyone could have a best friend like you. I want everyone to know you because you bring everyone you meet so much happiness, but I am also selfish and wish I could keep you all to myself. Anyone who can't see your worth and beauty does not deserve to have you as a friend. I am just lucky enough to call you my absolute best friend. Scratch that. "Best friend" is not a strong enough word. You're the closest thing I have to a sister.
